Dr. Singh is a stroke neurologist whose clinical and research work centres on the carotid bifurcation: how disease there causes stroke, why the degree of stenosis explains so little of that risk, and what routine imaging can be made to reveal instead. His published work spans intraluminal thrombus in the cervico-cephalic arteries, management equipoise in acutely symptomatic carotid stenosis, and long-term neurological and vascular outcomes after stroke. He founded moRAVIS Lab to bring image post-processing, computer vision and flow simulation to bear on a question that has been stuck on a single number for four decades.
